FERN to appear before National senate committee on Canada's energy future

The Standing Senate Committee on Energy, the Environment and National Resources (SCEENR) is holding public hearings in all the Atlantic Provinces February 28 to March 3, 2011, as part of its long-term study examining the current and future state of Canada's energy systems. The purpose of the study is to make recommendations to strengthen Canada's energy future in all regions while respecting provincial jurisdiction on energy matters.
 

Ken Lee has been called, on behalf of FERN, to appear before the Standing Senate Committee
on Monday, February 28 in the Windsor Room, Prince George Hotel, Halifax. Representatives from FORCE, Emera/NS Power, Atlantis Resources Corp. and others have also been invited to speak. The hearings are open to the public. All are welcome to attend.

Public hearings will also be held in Saint John, NB, Charlottetown, PEI, and St. John's, NL.
