Coming into force of amendments to the Regulations Designating Physical Activities under the CEAA 2012

Proposed amendments to the Project List were published in the Canada Gazette, Part I in April 2013 for a 30-day public comment period, which ended on May 20, 2013. Thank you to all those who submitted comments as part of this process. The comments received were given careful consideration to determine if further changes were required.

 The Minister of the Environment has now finalized the amendments to the Project List. The Regulations Amending the Regulations Designating Physical Activities and the Regulatory Impact Analysis Statement (RIAS) are available on the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency’s web site at http://www.ceaa-acee.gc.ca/default.asp?lang=en&xml=0DDF9560-6A8A-4403-B33A-B906AC6A1D93. The regulations and RIAS are expected to be published in the Canada Gazette, Part II on November 6, 2013.
