FORCE Seeks Independent Board Director

The Fundy Ocean Research Centre for Energy (FORCE) is a private, not for profit Nova Scotia company and is Canada's leading test center for in-stream tidal energy technology. FORCE works with developers, regulators, and researchers to study the potential for tidal turbines to operate safely within the Bay of Fundy environment and throughout the world.
Tidal power is a new marine sector and, through demonstration of devices and research at our Minas Passage test center, we help to develop both a new source of clean renewable power and economic opportunities for Canada. FORCE provides berths to test tidal energy devices, submarine cables, grid connection, environmental monitoring, and a shared observation facility. Funded jointly by government and industry, FORCE operates under the guidance of an experienced Board of Directors.

Together we are in search of a Board Director with experience in board governance. Experience in scientific research leadership, the renewable energy sector, or public affairs will be considered an asset.
