Tidal Demonstration Permit

This demonstration permit program supports the testing and demonstration of tidal stream devices and technologies in the Bay of Fundy. This permit authorizes the construction, installation and operation of one or more connected generators and associated infrastructure to demonstrate the potential or capacity to produce electricity from tidal energy resources.
The demonstration permit program ensures that activities are carried out safely, responsibly and in a manner that protects the marine environment, while supporting innovation in Nova Scotia’s marine renewable energy sector.

Innovation Ecosystem Enablers

This call for proposals will support projects that deliver broad-based ecosystem benefits across Canada's energy innovation landscape while addressing how to strengthen Canada's capacity to develop and commercialize innovative energy solutions, and accelerate the transition of energy innovations.
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis until all program funding has been allocated.

Alliance Advantage

Alliance grants encourage university researchers to collaborate with partner organizations, which can be from the private, public or not-for-profit sectors. These grants support research projects led by strong, complementary, collaborative teams that will generate new knowledge and accelerate the application of research results to create benefits for Canada.
Alliance Advantage grants (formerly Alliance cost-sharing option 1) are for partner-driven projects. They fund projects focused on the partners’ goals, with at least one partner sharing in the costs of research.
