Fundy Tidal Project Wins Major Funding, Orders Subsea Cable
November 14, 2010. The government of Canada is contributing $20 million for the FORCE tidal project in the Bay of Fundy. FORCE has also signed an $11-million contract for the production and installation of four subsea cables in the Minas Passage test site.
Hearing to set feed-in-tariff rates scheduled
The Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board has scheduled a hearing on April 4, 2011, to determine feed-in tariff rates for Community Feed-in Tariffs related to renewable energy.
New Renewable Electricity Regulations Encourage Community-Based Projects
October 15, 2010. Province of Nova Scotia released its New Renewable Electricity Regulations which establishes two Feed-in-Tariff programs - a Community Feed-in Tariff (COMFIT) for small-scale projects and a feed-in tariff for larger Developmental Tidal Arrays.
