FERN is a free and open network of individuals and institutions involved in tidal energy-related research, including, but not limited to:
FERN operations are assisted by a Coordinator and are governed by an Executive Committee.
Sub-committees have been established to direct activities to advance tidal energy research in the three research discipline areas:
The sub-committees consist of members from the academic, federal and provincial government and private sector tidal energy research communities, with focus on the Fundy region.
Host Institution and Resources
Acadia University provides support to FERN activities and hosts and maintains the FERN website and member database. The FERN office is located at the Acadia Centre for Estuarine Research (ACER) at Acadia University. ACER provides in-kind support in the form of office space and administrative assistance.
